Lumber Cart

I just finished this lumber cart today. Simple build w/ Chinese birch ply and Harbor Freight casters. Woodsmith plans I think. Glue and screw simple butt joints. No finish of any kind, I just eased the corners a bit. As you can see in the background I need some place to put my cutoffs and assorted pieces of wood. It is getting to the point in my small shop that it is difficult to turn around. I have wood laying everywhere. I hope this cart is the beginning of some organization because next I want to build a Roubo bench and I need all of the space I can get for that project. Boy that Chinese birch stinks when you cut it. Smells very much like Copenhagen chewing tobacco. I’m going look for an alternative next project.

I’ve been wanting one of these and your pics may have given me the push I needed to start it soon. Looks great, I also have so many scraps laying around but you never know when you’ll be able to use them.

Yes, I have some very expensive scraps that can’t be thrown away but I still have to be able walk around the shop. I have put off the cart for too long, it is going to be a great addition I think.
