I had a extra box made of Wenge and a little chunk of Wamara left over from my last box. I thought they looked really good together. I used Bubinga for the miter keys and the handle. I added the “dots” for Phil.

Thanks for taking a look.

I hope you like it. It was another fun build.

Joey

Thank you. The Wamara or Guyana Rosewood that I made the lid from is great to work with. I wish I had more.

That is some beautiful wood, never heard of it but someday I will find some.

What a great job.

You are hard at work in your shop and it shows. Another great looking box.

@ cwdance1 I found it a Steve Wall Lumber. They do internet orders. I make the 2 hour round trips as often as possible. They have great woods at great prices.

@Greg, Thanks Greg. I have my first art show on Saturday. It’s a small deal at a coffee shop, but it’s a start.

I am a huge fan of your boxes, especially your carved ones. Do you lay a light piece of fabric over a finished box and try to copy the way it lays?
