First of all, I don’t think this is how my box instructors want the hinge mounted (that would be gfadvm and all the other box makers on this site). But it works well and I’ll put it on my learning curve.

Made of Beetle Pine. Trying to put together some boxes for shows, but my wife keeps giving the to “friends in need”! Ugh. Such is life.

Thanks for looking

Very nice! Man I have to get busy to keep up with you!! The hinge turned out great. You did a great job on this and I love the natural look to the top. It’s a beauty for sure.

Looks really good! I like the left-hand protrusion for a lid lift. It leaves the right free to reach in for contents. Well thought out (and reversible for some customers, if you get any before your wife gives it away.)

Monte.

Looks like progress in boxing making. May be time for some splines.

WAY TO GO MONTE! The hinge turned out very well. I don’t see a problem with how you mounted it (I think mine are done the same way). Now you need to add a little shape/contour to the hinges. I like to round over the edges and cut the ends to an angle or curve. You sure picked this up a lot quicker than I did. You made me proud!
