Up to now you have seen two positions of my life-size canada geese…. now you encounter the third and last position. In the past I have also made these in smaller sizes before.
This Canada Goose is handcarved from several pieces of white pine glued together to make a lifesize Goose. Done and completed in the americana style. He is carved then torch burned for all the main dark areas. The chest area is burned with a wood burning pen. Sidepocket feathers and back feathers are painted with a matching light color (unbleached titanium white) acrylic. Glass eyes. He measures 17” long x 8” wide x about 12” high. Several coats semi-gloss varnish applied. A Regal looking fellow !
THANKS FOR VIEWING THE WOODCARVERS’ SHOP!

Hi Dave,

This is another nice carving. You are a artist who has been gifted with many talents. This piece is up to your usual standards with regards to details and craftmanship. I really enjoy viewing these carvings.

Thanks for the post.

Tom
I consign my work at the Pa. State Park = “COOK FOREST STATE PARK ” .... ON ROUTE 36….. BUT IN RECENT YEARS I DON’T DO VERY WELL. Thus , the reason I turned to the internet.
Thanks for asking Tom.
God Bless you too!
Dave
