I made this for a girlfriend of mine (along with the worm in the apple that I have posted here)for a Christmas gift. My son and I flew down to southern Ca, for Christmas and when we arrived one of my pieces of luggage did not get off the same plane we did. When I finally got my luggage back this was missing. At the time I was not that upset because I was just thankful that they “found” my luggage. I never did quite understand why the only thing missing was this “whatever it is” I kinda had in the back of my mind that it probably got broken and someone removed it rather than leave it in the luggage all busted up. Well I sure am glad I did not pitch a bitch about it, because today I started that wonderful and lovely job of spring cleaning LOL! and wrapped in tissue paper and then newspaper I found this. and the sad thing is I found it right where I had put it, for safe keeping until I was ready to put it in my suitcase! Surprisingly he stands up, but i am either going to hang chimes on him or now that it is spring perhaps I will make him a garden goody. Made out of pine meant for the wood stove.

Hi Allison,
I am glad that you “found” this piece. And thanks for the story behind it. We all tend to do things like this at times (although I seem to be experiencing it more often now). This is a nice piece and I am sure you will be able to put it to use in your home.
Thanks for the post.
