Here is a little box I pounded out last night. I have been holding onto a really sweet little piece of spalted zebrawood for a little while now trying to decide what to do with it. Here is out outcome. I hand cut the DT’s, and then I used the table saw to cut the cove, then I went to a block plane to do a little more shaping, then scraped and sanded it smooth. Zebrawood is not very hand plane friendly. Then one coat of boiled linseed oil.
I what to do with my piece of really cool bocote?

I like the curved lines, bold dovetails, and the over all rustic look of the box. Nicely done.
