This boat is a cool design from an early WOOD magazine – it’s got a watertight, hollow cavity in the front, and a couple of nuts epoxied in the back, so it stays very composed in the bathtub.

I made two, one for a friend and one for our sons. The second picture shows it with a previous tugboat I made.

Those are fine looking tugboats. Which year/month of wood magazine was that?

It was an old one and I think I got it at a library or something…
WOOD Issue 6, August 1985.

Found by searching at woodmagazine.com’s online index.

takes me back to when my father made me half a dozen profile boats in that style, great job.
