Latest from the Blue Haze Cigar Box Guitar shop. This one is a resonator style. Four strings for ‘slide’ playing only. The resonator is a chicken watering pan that normally screws on a mason jar to supply chicks with water. Two pickups are in this one with a blend pot, one under the wooden (Bubinga) bridge and one under the metal pan. Metal pan and top are free floating, they do not touch the neck (hopefully for better resonance). Nut is white corian. Neck is one solid piece of cherry, no scarf joint at headstock, just walnut ‘ears’ glued on. Frets are red oak. Tail stock is door lock strike plate. Sounds real good, metal resonator gives it great volume. Tuned “DGBD”. Thanks for looking. Comments always welcome!

Dennis this could be the coolest one yet! The neck is superb! I really like the walnut ‘ears’.

Thanks guys. I can build better than I play, that’s for sure. Check out Shane Speal and for some clips and samples from some real players!
