Hi Michael,
This is an interesting piece. The bent laminations give the piece visual interest. If they tossed it I hope a LJ found it and repurposed it. This is much too nice a project to simply throw out.

...it was suprizingly stable and I really liked it. the boards are notched into the laminated pieces, the fit was pretty tight and I think that was the reason. I saved the patterns and they’re lying around in my shop for several years now. I always wanted to build another piece and give it a good home, but the day has just 24 hours and there are so many new things on the wish list, that I am not allowed to build this a second time ;)...
