slab of cedar + painted aquarium base = new end table! I love the look of live edge cedar, and even though it is sealed, you get just the slightest hint of that wonderful cedar smell while sitting next to the table.

That is a great slab.

How thick is it

I imagine there will be a fair bit of weight on it

I think the slab started at about 5/4 before planing and sanding. It’s not a very big slab, and being that it is cedar, it’s not very heavy. I’m finishing up a project with some bigger slabs from the same tree that I hope to post soon, now that one has some weight to it!
