When he called me on this tree it was supposed to be a big Elm tree. Turned out to be Ash. Can’t hate them for that.

First time I made one like this. It’s real heavy.

That’s a fine looking bench. Really like the rustic/natural look you left to the wood. Good job.

this is a great bench monte, i love the figure in that wood, you did well to be given this wood, ive also got a large bench planed for my front porch, but im using oak, and its also going to be heavy..im going to have to find some big strong guys to lift it when its done…if your in the alabama area when i finish it, you are more then welcome to heave it around.

It’s screwed in from back & bottom. Haven’t decided if I am happy with that yet.

Looks real good Monte. Can’t say I’ve seen one like it before. I’m not surprised it’s so heavy.
