Almost done with my outdoor hangout. I need to put a fascia around the perimeter of the roof edge, finish building table tops over the top of the stumps that are the base for the vertical beams, and build a much nicer picnic table to go with it. I’ll eventually add a flat roof off the front to extend to the edge of the concrete, probably put in a juniper mantle and maybe a bar top somewhere.

I milled all the lumber from juniper with my Alaskan chainsaw attachment. The beams are 6×6, and the boards are 2x(Tapered) with live edge on the bottom. It took a pretty big tree to make the 14’ beam across the front. Its been a fun project, (a lot of work, but fun). All the trees I milled were going to be firewood, so it was pretty cool to give them a longer lasting purpose.

Ok, I have to admit I am a little jealous here:). Very cool!!!! What an accomplishment. I love taking something from tree to timber, to project! You sir should be proud!

Very Respectfully,

Nate

Really like this! Like how you incorporated the fireplace as one of the “corners.” This will be a great hangout/picnic/BBQ spot! Great job.

Man…................. I wish I had one of those mills!
