This credenza was made out of reclaim wood, red spruce, it was part of a building in Brooklyn that was demolished
As part of the NY Week Design, this piece was exhibit in The Salon des Refuses
The idea behind the show was using reclaimed wood. Each participant was given an allowance of free wood that came from a demolished historical site in NYC. They were given artistic freedom to create a piece of furniture of their choice which will be auctioned off and the money will go to the charity to benefit woodworking education and job training in New York City through the not-for-profit Brooklyn Woods. I feel very proud and lucky to be given this opportunity.

If I made that I’d be wanting to keep it. A pretty piece of work.
Glad you could join us.

This is a beautiful piece. Amazing to think it was made not only of recycled wood, but construction lumber.

I love reclaiming lumber from old buildings, fences and the like… You did a great job with that one too. And what a great cause to boot. This is a real win, win, win situation here!
