Just some pens I’ve turned. Buckeye burl, soft maple(pallet wood), maple, Lignum-vitae. The silver one is some wood that I salvaged from a pallet. I don’t know what it is, it’s very soft and fibrous, and it wicks moisture up like crazy, that’s how i dyed it. I mixed some black trans-tint with denatured alcohol in a shot glass sized container and stuck the end of the pen blank in. The next day the dye was all absorbed in the blank. Ive done some other colors too now , and they all come out cool looking. I wish I could figure out what kind of wood it is though.
