This is one of my first ever pieces of furniture. It is made of pine. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures prior to finishing it off. Was made for my wife’s cousin for her first baby. They have a small room and needed it to fit in a specific place (6’4” H, 24” W, 11.25” D). Hardly worthy of posting, but figure I will at least log my projects so that maybe one day I will see improvement!
Thanks for looking,
Chris

Joe & Jamie, thank you both. Joe, I built based on bookcase plans, but their true intent, as I know it is a display shelf. I suppose (or hope, at least) as the child gets older, they will use it for a bookshelf.

Looks good to me, and most definitely worthy of posting. Is the back one piece, or put together?
Looks very country kitchen, good job.

AMC, thank you for the comment.
It is one piece. I cheated a little, due to my fear of messing up on something they were going to use in their baby’s room. If it was something for our house personally, I would have attempted the individual pieces.

Great piece for an otherwise useless space. At first I thought it might be a bit stark for a baby’s room – but your second show with it in use looks perfect. I think it will get a lot of use in the years to come.

Thank you Jim and Kookaburra. I completely agree about it being “stark”, but if you could see the rest of the room, it fits in well. The crib is black, also and has the groove panel sides, so it all ties together nicely.
Since it was my first post, and obviously wasn’t intended (originally) to be posted here, I lacked in getting good pictures. I will do better next time, as I would like suggestions/help on getting better at this stuff…haha. Hard with these pictures for anyone to provide that sort of feedback.

Although the photo is a little dark it looks like a fine first project project.
