That’s a really smart design, what size is it?

Al,

You built a nice box. The figure on the walnut and maple panels add visual interest to the piece. And your inlays draw attention to the box.

Nice build.

Thanks for the post.

Very nice, I like the drawers and the grain affects in the wood.

Very Nice J Box. The doors give it a sence of surprise of whats behine the doors. Like the wood selections and the inlays give it a grand entrance.
Thanks for sharing your Ideas.

That box is outstanding! Very well executed and interesting but not gaudy design… Excellent! My one criticism which is actually more a statement of preference would be the finish. The gloss is a bit too pronounced for my liking, but that is merely opinion, your remarkable craftsmanship cannot be ignored!

Great looking box. The wood contrasts really work on this piece.

I have to agree with Mark D regarding the finish . In the pictures , it looks like it is coated with plastic which takes away from your wonderful craftsmanship . Just my opinion , but I think this would have been a great candidate for a nice Waterlox finish. They say that you should spend at least as much time on your finishes as you do making the projects. The doors , drawers and wood choices are all excellent : )
