I got the top of this from the free firewood discard bin of a local cabinet shop, it looks like many pine 2×4’s glued together, the legs were from Lowe’s clearance wood, it took part of two 2×6x8’s for the legs, I joined the legs to the top with biscuits, I may need to screw them in if its not strong enough to sit on. I used a router to go around the top and sanded the top, and used natural deck finish on the top. the stool I made a few months ago with pine, I can use this as a table to work on projects outside of my workshop and also use it as a chair in my workshop.

Looks like really good experience. I started out much the same way, although I had a whole “Stuckey’s” building to rip apart and use.

Might I suggest you add some stretchers and a skirt to increase the strength of the legs?

Thanks, I probably will add stretchers and skirts eventually :)
