Very nice indeed. Your girlfriend will have to set this box on the dresser backwards to show off those beautiful wood hinges. LOL The gifted wood part adds an additional intrest to this project. Keep up the good work & keep posting your projects….............Jack

Master of Nature combined with form that follows function combined with “Out Right Gorgeous” those hinges are really nice, Great job, thanks for sharing

ps. Utilizing spare wood is an art form in itself, potential is something we must see in order to reveal

Nice looking boxes.

Might I inquire how many you made?

Also, how do you keep the girlfriends separate?

Girl friends: plural, more than one.

Girl friend’s: Belonging to a single girlfriend. or friends of a girl.

I’m guessing friends as in blonging to? Delicate hinges and nice choice of materials for the visual movement of the piece. How long did it take?

Saproc, did you get my message? Don’t know why, you were obviously responding to Dallas’ comment, but it arrived in my inbox! :D

Anyway, I really do like this box… and a good thing or I would still be wondering why you sent me that message. That you put otherwise wasted wood to good use makes it all the cooler. Wooden hinges, organizer trays, rustic look.. I like everything about it. I really have to try making some wooden hinges some day. Nice work! :)

A great box worth waiting for. My kinda wood: gnarly, knots, and nail holes. Nice job on the hinges.

Nice and I am going to try that hinge style on my next box project. That is very creative!
