This was quick project I did on Thursday to get ready for the car show today. I needed to make something to fill the trailer hitch receiver on the back of my ‘72 Monte Carlo so I chose a bow tie Chevy emblem. Inside of it I embedded an MC emblem from the front of a ‘72 Monte hood spear. The bow tie is made from Mesquite and encased in epoxy. I put a round plug in the back of it and that plug is glued into the square plug that fits the receiver . A brass pin with a clip holds it in.

Hi Turn turn turn..I have been a Raiders fan since watching George Blanda playing at 50 yrs old and then Jimmy Plunkett who was dangerous because he would take off and run instead of grounding the ball in a bad passing situation.. They have not been so good for years now.

George Blanda and Gordie Howe…those were the days
Not to mention that over the long hall the Raiders have been better than the Lions. :-). I will be visiting your state next week, hope this great weather holds.

Really nice! Like you, I’m a Chevy and Raiders man too. Unlike you, I live in California so my Raiders license plate frame doesn’t get me funny looks!
Great job! Go Raiders!

Hi Robert, I was trying to put another picture of my ‘72 Monte on here but I can’t get Photobucket to load. I guess I could put it with the project photos- I have three empty boxes!..........Jim
