Blue Haze Cigar Box Ukulele made from red Plasencia box. Black enclosed tuners on a Cherry neck with Walnut fretboard. Nickel-Silver frets. Piezo pickup under bridge in neck. Walnut saddle with brass key for a bridge. Through body neck style. Black Corian for the nut. Martin Uke strings. WV quarter (photo 4) in lower side corner of box for a WV native that plays in a band that uses ‘lots of unusual stringed instruments’. Nine strands of red yarn braided into a strap just for a lark to match the box and it worked pretty good! Small wooden ‘drawer pulls’ used for strap buttons. Thanks for looking!!

Your guitar is very beautiful, congratulations ….....
Please can you tell me the measurements in centimeters of the box and
the handle etc.

Thank you…........

Nicely done. What did you use for the sound hole trim and I can’t quite make out the writing inside?

Enzo61: Thank you. The box is 190mm x 210 mm but pretty much any size will work. The neck is about 660 mm overall and the scale, nut to bridge is 508mm. I only use mm when I’m marking the scale and frets, way easier than 32nds and 64ths etc. I wish we’d just move to the mm system and be done with it, I like mm and cc and kilo and liters!

wormil: The sound hole trim is a large brass grommet from my buddy over here:
https://www.cbgitty.com/cubecart/index.php
I sign, date and serial number the inside of each box and burn the BH (Blue Haze) logo on the headstock.
Johnnyblot: Check out other projects under Drbyte and you’ll see several slide-style guitars, bass guitars and lap-steel models too! Thanks!
