I’m far from being an expert turner but thought that this photo-shoot might be of some interest.

I don’t even have a lathe…
Nice Drill Press you have there, Harry!
Very unusual design… looks like it works…
Nice job!

Thanks guys. Joe, which drill press, I’ve just looked through the thread and neither of my drill presses were used or are seen in any of the shots.
As for a lathe Joe, it can be addictive and expensive. Rather like a DVD player, one can be purchased here for as low as $16.00, more than the cost of ONE disc! Likewise with a lathe, the tools and accessories soon overtake the cost of the lathe. Just one of my sets of hollowing tools cost slightly more than the lathe!

Thank you Digger jack, that sounds like an Aussie living in France.
Joe, last night I went to sleep racking my brain as to where you saw a drill press in that thread. What I now know you meant was a jig that I made as part of the indexing system that I came up with in order to complete the jewellery stand. I could easily assemble the photo-shoot of it’s making into a pdf but I would have to lie when posting because it asks if the item is made from wood, which of course it isn’t!
