This bowl measures 4” x 9” and is made from Catalpa. It was dyed with purple and yellow Rit dyes and finished with a wipe-on poly. It is difficult to see in the pictures how it changes colors depending on the lighting.

Yes, Rit as in clothes dye. I read about it from fellow LumberJock Darren Nelson.

Cool. I like catalpa. I have dyed some stuff (small things) it never dawned on me to dye a bowl. I smell a project, thanks.
