This is a stand for my planer that I quickly threw together with pieces
of lumber I had lying around from other projects. As I’m sure everyone
here knows, these planers are not too light and I got tired of lifting mine
up onto a bench everytime I needed it! Pretty much all I have here is
some pieces of 2X6 and some plywood. The mobile base I got on sale
from Rockler and have had it sitting here for some months now waiting
to be used on something! It might not be the prettiest stand but it certainly
does everything I need it too! Thanks for looking!

This is a great piece. I just got my first planer and I agree….it’s a pain moving it. This stand of your’s will be copied by me this week-end. Thanks.

Thanks Jay! Just a quick note….I made the height of the stand at 32” which is a perfect
working height for me (I’m 6’ tall). Just to give you an idea of how tall to make it to get
you started! Good luck!

Great stand, looks real solid. I like the handle you attached.

Okay I agree, not the prettiest stand out there. But it looks good and functional… Probably the first 2×6 and OSB tool stand I have seen posted here…
