OK, seems I committed a slight faux pas in my Unisaw blog when I referred to our utility room in a slightly disparaging tone. So, the woman I promised to love, honor and cherish thought it best if I added the laundry room expansion to the projects section of LJ to make up for that.
Technically it is not “made of wood” but there’s wood in there.
In general, we added about 60SF of space to the existing laundry room.
The first couple of pictures show the “wooden” folding table/sewing table I added for the aforementioned woman. (Pssst…it’s actually 2 pieces of MDF stained and polyed to look like wood). Funny, all our friends think it’s some kind of exotic wood when I tell them it’s MDF!
The 2 table supports were cut off the church pew backs I bought at auction for $5. In fact, all the actual wood you see came from those oak pews (molding, baseboard, backsplash, etc).
The last picture are the cabinets the woman (gasp) bought at HD. I was under the impression I was going to build the cabinets but she pulled a fast one on me.
Thanks for looking.
