These are 15 pen boxes that are made from Antique Yellow Southern Heart Pine, and Black Walnut, and one box is Walnut with Maple sides. The pens are made from some woods that i gave Tim and he also used some of his wood, there made from Sassafras, Heart Pine, Walnut and Maple. I made the boxes and my good lumberjock buddy Tim Harvey made these beautiful pens for me, we made a trade for goods and i will ever be thankful to Tim for doing this for me. i wanted these made as they are very special gifts going to some very special people , they don’t know that these are coming and its a gift of love on my part . these boxes are really fun to make and i think a really great way to store your favorite pen and also use the same box for keeping your favorite pen on display, i finished these boxes off with BLO and then i put a coat of BRI wax on them and buffed them out with 0000 steel wool, they are very smooth and the feel of wood is in your hands. thank you for looking at my project and thank you for any comments made. Holy pen boxes, Grizzman!
These are great. I agree with Jamie… doing a project with another woodworker makes it twice the fun!

The heartpine is a beautiful choice and the walnut is a great accent. Great job! Thanks for sharing.

congrats to the both of you. The southern yellow pine grain is wonderful. You aligned the grains perfectly, and your case/display design works very well. You will make someone very happy.
