This was another gift for my wife. I don’t know what kind of wood the exterior is. The darker red trim might be blood wood? They came from a bunch of scrap that came from a custom stair company. I only had smallish sticks so I resawed and bookmatched the lighter wood to veneer the panels. The interior is curly western maple. Overall dimensions are 8” deep x 12” wide x 6 1/2” tall.

Very nice work and design. Love what you were able to do with “scrap.” This is a beautiful piece.

That is some way nice work! Curly maple on the inside. Now that is classy. Everything looks perfect: design, fit, and finish. The dark wood looks a lot like Jatoba if it is really heavy and hard.
