A friend of mine spoke with his wife about adding a entertainment centre in his basement but wasn’t sure if there was something he could by that would fit. So in just casual conversation with me he said hey Rich you like to do woodworking projects, I said of course he said you should help me design an entertainment centre and book shelf unit for my basement and build it. I thought he was joking so I said ok the next thing you know I designed the unit and built it. It is made of Oak venier and solid oak trim, drawers and doors. All the work was done in my single car garage shop.

This is a beautiful entertainment center. It would be a compliment to anyone’s home. You did a good job here and I am sure your friend is enjoying the piece.

Thanks for the post.

Pretty nice. Not much wall space left after you put that in.

Good job. I like the modular bookcases that complement the EC.

I have a question? Why the drawers at the very top? Wouldn’t there not be enough room to see into the drawers? Or am I missing something? I like the design for something similar that I’m going to be building down the road.

Looks very nice!

Can’t say I care for the ceiling treatment, though. :-)
