Hi There Everyone!

At long last … a chance to post my latest Intarsia piece. Although the design was started way back in October of last year, the actual ‘hands-on’ work of it didn’t begin until the end of February. 170 hours later this wedding gift for our daughter is now complete.

These photos posted show only a few of the many steps taken to produce this particular style of Intarsia. For the entire journey from beginning to end … and lots of photo discription!! … you can read all about it through my blog.

Thank you so much for your wonderful and supportive comments throughout!

-- Elaine in Duncan

Nothing I can say here that I haven’t already told you Elaine.
It is truly beautiful.
All those hours were worth it.
Congratulations, now go and enjoy the cabin life at the lake.

Elaine,

Your gift to your daughter, obviously from the heart, is just beautiful.

Elaine, I know that the pictures here hardly do this fantastic piece justice. I’m sure this will be a treasured family heirloom for generations to come.

Thanks for sharing with us!

I love this…so beautiful! The craftsmanship on it looks fantastic too! I have yet to try my hand at Intarsia, but when I see stuff like this project it makes me inspired to want to give it a try!

Elaine,

What a lovely heirloom! I hope your daughter and son-in-law will keep all your documentation with this masterpiece to hand on to the next generation.
