I made this box for my 3 year old daughter I hope she like it when she grow up.The dimension of the box is 29cm x 22 cm x 7cm and is decorated with the marquetry art.On the top of the box I wrote the name of my daughter(it is written in greek) with bronze and for the butterfly I used bronze white mother of pearl and pink mother of pearl.On the side of the box I used bronze and I wrote her birth date with swarovski stones.

Another beautiful piece. What method of cutting are you using, hand fret saw? scroll saw?

Bautiful craftsmanship! I haven’t tried marquetry yet. I am sure your daughter will learn to love the warmth of wood as she grows.

That looks great, the marquetry work is gorgeous.
