My youngest son wanted a case to house all his various electronic gadgets, for protection and to keep all the accessories organized. This is especially important to him when we would go on a road trip.
The case is made from scraps we had in the shop, birch plywood and pine. The hardware is leftover from other projects as well. The only purchase was the black furry stuff he picked out to line the inside.
He helped with the design and layout and did all of the glue up and sanding.
It’s a couple years old now, and still looks like it does in these pictures and still gets used here and there. It’s one of those things I think he’ll keep even after the electronics have gone away.

Love it! Wish my dad would have done this with me. All I ever got was a rocking chair and a barn, neither of which I got to help with. Keep do projects with him. I know my son loves helping me with various projects whether they are for him or not.

Great looking box, looks very clean, sometimes the simplicity of a piece gives it that extra edge, to be more than just a box.

Thanks for the feedback. It is a simple thing, and like martyroc said, sometimes that makes it more special. I know my son really likes it.
Have your say...
