Solid oak with Kona stain, then one coat of 50/50 black/kona paint, then shellac. First use of a really slick Rockler product, door slider kit. I recommend it for this type of project.

Turned out real nice, I like the rich tone in the finish !

You make me wish I can make nice furniture like this! I wouldn’t know where to start, even! I guess I’d stick to carving!
