This picture frame is a present I am giving to my teacher. She wanted me to make her a present for her to give to her future husband. I saw some very similar ideas on the internet and tried to replicate them close enough. I tried to keep it simple but yet have that eye catching “pop” at the same time. I used a base of maple wood with 1 1/2” curly maple veneer on top. On the outside and inside of the frame there is a 1/4” mahogany boarder to dress up the project. I used four coats of clear wipe on poly and sanded in between wipes. I also finished it with some wood wax. Hopefully she enjoys it as much as I do. Thanks for reading, and leave any tips or comments please! Thanks again.
