Closet Organizer

Built two closet organizers, one for each of my son’s closets. The material used is a melamine product purchased at Menards, the finish is Hard Rock Maple. Each organizer required 3 sheets. A matching PVC edge band is available, but it had to be attached with contact cement.

The drawers are made from the same material and have a 1/4” luan bottom. The drawer pulls are the simple bent steel, painted black variety. The slides are Accuride 16” 3/4 extension.

Assembly of the entire project was accomplished using nothing other than pocket screws since glue could not be used.

Each could have been completed in a weekend, if I could work on it uninterrupted (but that’s not possible usually), I’m sure that I spent most of the project gluing and trimming the edge band.

Very Nice, My wife wants the same thing, its on my honey do list at the bottom, she keeps adding more things to the top. Feel free to come on over and make a couple for me, I promise to supply all the food & beer you can drink, LOL

Thanks guys. The only thing I might do differently is the use wood trim instead of the PVC edging.

Martyroc, I have to pass my list is plenty long! Regardless of the quantity of beer offered!

Have your say...
