Moxon for Kenn

I’ve joined the Moxon craze! I used hard maple and the Benchcrafted hardware. It was a little low when I was trying it out so I added another piece of wood to the bottom that doubles as a cleat for my holdfast to grab onto. I baked the hardware with linseed oil (not the same as Boiled Linseed Oil, and it smells nasty). If you try that, keep it off of the screw threads. The lambs tongue turned out well and gives it a nice look in addition to providing saw clearance when cutting half blind dovetails. The movable jaw is lined with suede that came from Benchcrafted, nice touch. I am pleased with it and am ready to get dovetailing! Thanks for looking.

i should have mentioned that I left 25” between the screws, it’s got plenty of room. I’ve got a turning project to complete then this Moxon will be going to work. Thanks for looking and commenting.
