Second Checkerboard box

This is a box I finished a few weeks back. I meant to post it as a project, but only posted it as a blog entry. My wife wanted to give my last checkerboard box as a gift. So I made her this one.

It is made of padauk and walnut burl. There is an inlay of cherry as well. I finished it with tung oil.

i really like the design of this box top, pretty cool, a box is never just a box, you never know what is inside…good build i think…

Very Nice, I like the way this came out.
