“Load torpedo #3”.
A torpedo shaped cigar box.
Well, it has a flat bottom and stands upright on it.
It has a removable lid.
It is hollow for containing things.
So, it is a box shaped like a cigar….thus…a cigar box.
The inside is not quite 1/2” in diameter and just shy of 5”
Wood is maple burl and the center coupling is a piece of hickory…cause the stuff is so darn hard.
On this one I used a spray acrylic finish on the outside and salad bowl finish on the inside…just in case.

On to the next crazy idea!

After looking at your project, I may be justified to purchase a lathe….Nice. Well done. I like the idea!

I managed to talk him out of this one. This “box” is amazing. It was given as a gift for a friend of mine and he was astounded. He has it packed full of cherry pipe tobacco in the hope that it will darken the cigar and add a pleasant aroma to store a smaller cigar for a special occasion. Thank you so much. Very well done. Your return is on its way to you.

Thank you Sven.
It would be interesting to see if it changes the color. With the finish on the inside and outside, I doubt it, but ya never know. It will definitely smell good!
