Dog Ramp

This was a quick project built out of necessity for my in-laws. Their highly active pooch is aging quickly. Per the doctor’s orders, she can no longer jump up and down from the back of the SUV. We threw this together in a couple of hours last Friday.

It is made of 1/2” ply, 2 door hinges, glue and screws. They will be adding carpet to the ramp for grip at a later date. Total cost of materials was about $30 from Home Depot. Online, a similar solution was around $100.

Might I mention that it was a beautiful day to be working outside?

Thanks for checking it out.

Great project. The second picture makes it look pretty steep. What we do to care for our 4 legged loved one’s.

Great way to help out an old friend.
