Strange I’ve worked on some really cool kitchens yet never took any photos. They were just a job to me. These I built for my old house. This is the only photo I have. Number two cherry, slab doors, the sides are solid cherry so I could router along the bottom. I like a slab door for showing off knotty grained hardwood. Matching window sill. Simple and basic. I used a conversion varnish finish.

Wait a minute OBI: you were going to come to my house and now you are asking if Dennis can help you. Are you Dusty’s carpenter?

Karson, I was just asking Dennis if he traveled out-of-town, or if i was just the only one that would do such a thing, because i was thinking that i would do Pat’s cabinets

And I don’t have a Sanford & Son pick-up, but i think it would make a great “Ye Olde Work Truck”

OK! Let me know when you have the pickup. Because this is Delaware and all of the Red Necks have old beat-up trucks. (Needs to be 4-wheel though)

I just got the truck, get off my neck already. I want a camper shell to keep the wood dry when it’s wet, and a rack to keep the lumber on top whenI have to sleep in it, especially when I’m traveling around the country making cabinets for so cheap everybody thinks Im giving my stuff away.

Oh, wait. Ladders? I don’t need no stinkin’ ladders

Yeah, but do it on the Q.T. Sneak-in home makeovers, while people are out at work, quick trip out to the store, and they come home to find all their “fake-wood” furniture replaced by the real deal… oh, and the vinyl sidings gone in lieu of cedar, the entertainment center is totally tricked out, and they bake us cookies in their new kitchens!...oh, did I mention the house is now an awesome tree-house?

Yep… now we can expand on that to make one with a wet bar, billiards room and movie theatre! (and a woodshop, of course)

Let’s get Martin to get us a FOX contract. We can use the WoodWhisper’s Camera and we’ll all make a million. None of this cheap money and looking for work. We’ll make our own work. Get lots of endorcements for all of the tools that we use.

You got something going there Scottie.

All a matter of bringing the right people together. We got the tools and talent… and now that Obi’s got a truck, we’re in bidness…. A few years from now, we’ll be guest editing articles in all the major wood and style magazines!

Do we need a 16 Wheeler for all of our tools and to carry Obi’s truck around. I don’t know if a 1987 Dakota can make to many cross country trips. I figure we’ll need to go narional. No local stuff.

He won’t mind, he’ll be riding shotgun.

Sorry, we took the ball and ran with it. Clearly we like the kitchen and were inspired to take it, and the rest of us to the next level. It’s late, I’ve had too much caffiene, and not enough sleep. I’ll try not to hijack any projects tomorrow… but no promises. That said, should we get “Makers Marks” screwed/soldered onto our arms, or just sissy tatoos (thinking ahead to our “logo” and superhero coveralls!)

Martin, are you keeping up with this? Call Hitachi Tool Company, Delta Tool, Powermatic, Triton Tool, Freightliner, ABC, Panasonic, Marc, and his Assistant, Don and Dick as Consultants, We’ll buy the Cherry from Karson at the going price and all of the Lumberjocks are going to have to be “Tool Handlers”. And we’ll sneak into town for the week and make two and three story tree houses, with the full bar, water and electricity, and a pool that you can slide into from the second story of the tree house. We’ll run it on ABC and have Donald Trump Show up so we can tell him “You’re Fired!”. And do it all for the underprivelaged

Wow !!! It took me half the evening, reading this stuff, so I could tell Dennis I liked his cabinets. I like them Dennis!!

Obi, I don’t think there are many 1987 pickups in this area. All the pickups that age are nothing but rust, from all the salt they put on the roads.

And boy !! are you guys full of it tonight.

As Scott said. Too much caffiene and too cold to go work in the shop. And too late to turn on the heat.
