I’ve got two friends getting married here in the next two months, so I carved these two crosses up for them as a wedding gift (sort of a tradition with me, and it keeps me out of Bed, Bath, and Beyond). The one on the right is carved out of a slab of Black Walnut I’ve had hanging around for a while, and the one on the right was carved out of a bit of mahogany that I got from a guy at a trapper rendezvous; chiefly because he didn’t want to use it as firewood. Both are finished with polyurethane.

Beautiful design and great carving work, very nice.
