I built these in 2005. They are Adire 281 towers and LCC (Large Center Channel). Unfortunately, Adire isn’t around anymore. They put out a great design and kit built around their 8” woofers and I couldn’t be happier with the sound. The boxes are MDF veneered with paperbacked quartersawn Makore (African Cherry). That stuff has such depth and glimmers like a butterfly wing in the light. You can kind of see it on the center channel. I used Iron-on Heat Lock veneer glue and it has held for 7 years without a hint of peeling at the edges. Heat Lock is amazing and super forgiving to use aligning big panels. The baffles were cut with a Jasper circle jig and a router for the speakers and I primed and painted them black with automotive spray cans. The veneer had 3-4 coats of Waterlox only to make it pop. I wish you could hear them but IMHO they are still eye candy for woodworkers. Thanks for taking a look. Let me know what you think!

They certainly are eye candy, very beautiful, I take your word on the sound quality.

Thanks Marty. I need to take better pics but you get the idea.

I love your clamp stand and story that goes with it. We are between houses so I can’t wait to have my shop going again to have similar time with my kids.
