Unique Cornered Sassafras Box

Made out of local sassafras wood that a friend gave me. Box measures 9’‘L x 4 1/2’‘W x 5’‘H.

I had never seen a box like this so I thought I would make one. It was quite a learning experience jigging this thing up for gluing at different stages. I gotta get off this box kick and get on to some other things…...yeah right.

I am getting a little bit better with each box I do though and that’s a good thing. Thanks for looking.

Tis a box in a box. I’ll bet it has that gr8 aroma that Sassafras has.

this is a very interesting box, i dont think ive seen one like it, i like the inside cover to creat another area of secrecy, and the lid is quite unique with the small lid supports, i really like sassafras and have used it myself, thank you for sharing your wonderful box.

That’s a pretty neat design, and as usual very nicely done.

-- Martin ....always count the number of fingers you have before, and after using the saw.
