I made this project out of scrap pieces of walnut from another project, it is very simple and only uses mitered corners and glue. I made this in a few hours, as for finish I sanded the entire box up to 350 grit sandpaper and then put a coat of sanding sealer on it, after the sanding sealer had dried I then put brushing lacquer on it, again after the first coat had dried i gave it a very light 2000 grit sanding by hand, then put on the last coat of lacquer on it.
