This is a Mantle we built, the Fireplace had only the stone tiles around it originally.
Full disclosure, the Top was pre-made, the rest was built from Pine 1×8’ s, 1×4’s, and the Rosettes are from a big box store.

yes very nice looking, I too undertook the redo of my fireplace surround, and got most of the components done and sitting in garage, was unhappy with a couple minor flaws and put it on hold for a few,lol. Any how great job man
