yes another box just love making boxes. 300mm x150mm 170mm. this one is made from another piece of oak post that i accuired on my walks. it is pretty rugged piece of wood with nail hole and knots falling out as i am working the wood but i carried on regardless. i like to think it was worth it. As you can see it has two trays and a bottom compartment made from ash. finished in linseed oil and beeswax. my photography lets the project down a bit as they were taken on my phone. going back to my shed now to start on my next project. would you believe it ANOTHER BOX

Very cool! I really like the latch and hinges. Not to mention the awesome wood.

Nice. I like the hinges and latch. Nice touch. The “star fish” knot on the lid caught my eye right off.

Nice job saving this ‘character’ wood. The hinges and latch are very well done. I have some holy cherry that I may now save from the wood stove.

I love your style Saproc! Must start walking around Scunthorpe if that’s what’s to be found:-) And must try one of those latches too!

You’ve got some fantastic details on this beautiful box. Now get yourself a camera and let us see some proper photos of it!

It looks like a nice box out of rustic wood.

Beauty!
I too would appreciate more detailed pictures. The hinge and latch are really interesting. Thank you.

Beautiful job on the box. I’ve got three I’m making right now, and I would love to locate plans for the latch and hinges.

Beautiful box! Kinda like my landscape timber house: you can call it rustic, but not crude.
You done good!

I believe it! I hope to start making more boxes one day, if I ever finish all my jigs to make boxes with first… ;)
