I just realized that I had never posted this piece, the original “Current Global Issues”. I figured that since one of the optional titles for another piece i posted today is “Current Global Issues II”, I should post this as well. The figure is made from scrap mahogany, the backdrop is Buckeye, the base is Black Walnut and the globe is out of Basswood. The globe is a loose, nested ball in a cage. the whole piece stands about 10” tall

Thanks for sharing.
I realy like this. It made me look at your other work and I have seen many beautyfull crafted pieces of art overthere. Aspecialy the dogwood pendant. And the vieuw you give in your shop. What a nice collection of tools!

Nice work. Nice to see—in your “other” pics that someone besides me still uses a shave horse. Your work is very nice.
Oscar, as you well know, can and will do pretty much whatever he wants.
