While wasting time on Youtube the other day I ran across Steve’s Vid. of his doormat. (thanks Steve, good vid)
I had some Jatoba offcuts from a flooring project that seemed about the right size. Last night I put it together and this AM managed to get a coat of sealer on it.
Fun/easy project, a few notes to myself…Use washers as spacers not SS nuts as it’s a PIA to thread them, seal all pieces before assemble or you have to get the big sprayer out..

That is a nice looking door mat. I get what your saying about the nuts.

Nice doormat, Jatoba is a really hard wood and should last a long time.

Great looking doormat, it looks too good, I would’nt be able to bring myself to step on it.

Another note to self…use gloves when working with Jatoba, very evil wood in the splinter dept.
