Haven’t posted in a while and haven’t been here for a while…and I’ve missed being here! Been working 7 days a week since I can remember and I’m kind a over it. Anyway, here’s some pics of one that I kind of liked (after it was finished!). After a couple more of these, I’m doing a set with 16 presidents and have ideas for two or three other general political sets (got a great idea for a nasty one too!!!). Got a flying Saucer Set finally underway that features Queen Elizabeth, Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney among others that is right up my alley, big custom board and all.

Best regards to Everybody!

Jim

ps. board and pieces…maple and walnut…kings about 7.5” tall, pawns about 3” tall, chessboard about 25” square, board squares about 2.5”

Very Very cool, these are great carvings, and the board came out beautifully

-- Martin ....always count the number of fingers you have before, and after using the saw.

Who’s the “queen” of the democrats? Can’t tell.

That’s a very good likeness of Clinton. Can we get a closeup of all 4 faces?

LBJ is the Dem queen…let me see if I can find a good one of LBJ.

QE, Cheney, Palin, Hitchcock, Martians, Spock….promise it will all make sense (and make you laugh).

Thanks for the comments you guys,
Jim

How about one of the north versus the south? Lincoln and his rebel counterpart (can’t remember his name at the moment) as the kings, their wives as queens, generals as bishops, cavalry officers as knights, canons as rooks and private soldiers as pawns.

I know, it’s been done commercially, but who cares? Doing it by hand is better!

Incredible! How long do you think it took you to make?

As with so many things I see here (especially when compared to the amateur stuff I post here) ABSOLUTE ART! Incredible.

Big Tiny ——He DID make a Civil War chess set. Check out his projects. ALL of them are unbelieveable
