I just had to do it.
A friend gave me some cigar bands so I decided to do a ‘cigar pen’ with a cigar band.
Turned out good and I may give it to him.

All of these you have done are really cool. What wood did you use?

Thanks all.
Drew, I have just a few new bands that were given to me.
I bought a bunch of the ones that seem to be everywhere that say they are ‘vintage’ cigar bands.
Out of 29 different ones there are only a few that I have used. My issue is that there is no information to be found on what the particular cigar looked like for the ‘vintage’ band. So, I don’t know if I am matching color or size at all. Maybe it doesn’t matter much but it bugs me. I’m still looking for someone who has some saved from recent smokes that will sell to me. I’ll be patient.
Marty, the wood is a walnut burl. It was from a set of 4 from CSUSA called a burl variety pack, jumbos. They are 3/4” and over.
