Our choir director had ordered new gowns & needed crosses to be worn with them. She wanted something simple & asked me if it was possible to make something for her out of wood. Here are the results. Woods are walnut with Kentucky coffee tree inlays. So far I have completed a total of 23 but she may need more shortly. I was very happy to have had some experience with hot hide glue as this made adding the inlays very easy. I am quite pleased with the results! The crosses will be put on black leather to allow them to be worn. They are finished using a mixture of varnish, linseed oil & turpentine.

Nice job. As the son of a Methodist minister who was also a cabinet maker in an earlier life, I saw lots of things like this during my childhood and youth in the appalachian mountains. Your work will be greatly appreciated.
