Someone at the auction asked me to make them a Cutting Board with some color. This is the design I came up with; it is made from Paduck, Black Walnut, Hard Maple, Yellowheart, Purpleheart, and Hickory. It is 12×12 x 1-5/8 thk and sealed with salad bowl finish and finished with mineral oil/beeswax. When I went to my hardwood supplier this week to buy the wood, I was shocked at the bd ft prices. The owner said the woods are being bought with Euros and then converted to dollars when they purchase it causing a jump in price. Thanks for looking.

Great looking board, I love the use of all those different woods, makes this stand out. Bd Ft pricing continues to rise, and in my part of the country, even the cheaper stuff costs a fortune.

I agree with the board ft. pricing. I bought a lot of exotic wood last year, and boy now am I glad I did.
Very, very nice work…
